Plan · Spring to winter

Four Seasons of Pest Pressure on the Jersey Shore

A plan that follows the calendar: ants and termites in spring, mosquitoes and wasps in summer, rodents and spiders in fall, roaches in winter.

Chapter 01

What each season sends through the door

Spring is ants and termites. Swarmers show up on window sills after the first warm rain, carpenter ants start working damp wood, spiders hatch in the eaves, and mice that wintered in the walls begin moving again. In Lakewood and Jackson, where the sandy pine soil warms quickly, April can feel like May to an insect.

Summer moves the pressure outside: mosquitoes in the shade under decks, wasps building under eaves and in soffits, ants working the kitchen. Fall belongs to rodents, spiders and the overwintering pests that hunt for a crack as nights cool. Winter is roaches and rodents indoors, living off a warm kitchen and a dry cabinet.

Most homeowners treat pests when they see them, which is always one step late. A plan follows the calendar instead. It covers ants, spiders, roaches, mice, rats, silverfish and more, depending on what your property needs, so the work lands before the season's pest arrives rather than after, while the numbers are still small and the fix is still simple.

How a plan gets built around one house

No two houses get the same plan. A ranch near the bay in Point Pleasant and a wooded colonial in Marlboro have different problems, so the first visit is an inspection, not a spray. The technician looks at structure, landscaping, drainage, siding and whatever you have already noticed, and the plan is written from that.

The plan names the seasons and the targets. If carpenter ants in spring are your history, that leads; if it is rodents every fall, the exterior comes first. Covered pests can shift as conditions change, because a damp summer means more silverfish and a mild winter means more of almost everything. Licensed technicians, NJ LIC# 91689B, do the work.

Family and pet-conscious treatments are the standard here, not an upgrade. Tell the technician where the kids play and where the dog sleeps, and placement follows. If you want a gentler route altogether, the organic program is a separate option that gets quoted the same way, with its own assessment of the house first.

Chapter 03

Staying ahead from one year to the next

A good plan gets quieter each year. The first season finds the entry points and the habits; the second benefits from every gap already closed. Notes from each visit carry forward, so the technician arrives already knowing which corner of the house gave trouble last August in Seaside Park, and which door sweep has already been replaced.

Plans have no published price because every house differs. A quote is free and carries no obligation, built from an actual look at the property. You will know which pests are covered and when the work happens before you agree to anything. Ask as many questions as you like at the door; the quote is the conversation, not a pitch.

If something shows up between visits, call (732) 527-5770; we're open 24 hours, 7 days. And if you are not satisfied with our service, we will come back and retreat your home at no additional cost to you, whichever season the problem arrives in. Your plan is meant to be adjusted, not defended.

Spring, summer, fall and winter, each with its own targets, written into the plan.
